Edward stood there drop jawed for a minute. No one was ever that nice.... ever. Why her? what was the catch? "Yes but that doesn't mean-" Ed cut himself short (no pun intended) and decided to let the matter drop. He'd repay her some day. He had no idea how, but he'd think of something. He was quite the improviser when need be. "Escort you?" Ed almost laughed. Almost. He had a feeling that this girl could take care of herself, but what the hay. He might as well escort her. He didn't have anything else to do. "Well, I suppose. There could be crooks out at this time, you know. We wouldn't want you to be kidnapped, now would we?" There was a joking tone in his voice as he started walking. It was a beautiful afternoon and he figured a nice walk would do him some good.

"What, you're not capable of accompanying a beautiful female back home?" Feeble little humans didn't know their own capabilities, it seemed. Elise didn't actually see herself as being beautiful, but it was worth a reaction out of him. Things like this were her specialty, to be honest. She could wrap someone around her finger and make them jump through hoops if she tried her hardest.

Luckily she tried not to be a manipulative person. That was all.

"Crooks? Believe me, Edward, I can hold my own in a battle. Crooks and kidnappers wouldn't stand a chance." Elise Brushed her bangs from her face and began to take a long, winding path out of the town. It wouldn't hurt her to have an escort home, but it would hurt her if he got any ideas. It would also be embarrassing to be seen with him by a few of her other suitors.

Edward let out a laugh. "I have no doubt that you could hold your own. Though it wouldn't hurt me to walk with you, so I don't see why not. I'm bored anyways." Ed shrugged and walked beside her, hands in his pockets.

Elise quirked a brow. He sure seemed confident. "How do you know it won't hurt you to walk beside me, boy?" She may have been coming off as a bit arrogant, but she didn't mind. "I have my fair share of people who wouldn't hesitate to pick off someone they may see as a threat to their courtship." The blonde paused for dramatic effect. "As a matter of fact, humans are among the most likely to be removed from my list of suitors violently."

Not that she was implying anything, which she wasn't. She just wanted to give him a scare.
