Need help thinking of a good job for your character? Here are some ideas.
Farmer/Rancher; raises food for the cities.
Bard; an entertainer/storyteller. Usually around an inn or a bar.
Servant; serves under a noble or a wealthy person.
Clerk; similar to a bank teller, they may choose to run a bank-like operation.
Teacher; teaches children in a school. May be employed to tutor royal children or commoners.
Scholar; a specific type of teacher that specializes in one subject, like history.
Shopkeeper; owns/keeps a shop.
Stable hand; tends to horses in a person’s stable.
Noble; a higher classed person, has a state of authority.
Healer; similar to a doctor but uses more traditional means like herbs and magic. Usually Elves.
Doctor; more human, uses tools to perform surgeries, similar to a healer.
Warrior; fights for his/her kingdom, stands guard, protects citizens, etc.
Seamstress; sews clothes.
Understudy; studies under a scholar.
Innkeeper; owns/keeps an inn.
Builder; builds houses and other buildings.
Mage; uses magic to protect others, similar to a warrior.
Writer; can be a page or a scribe, may have to read to citizens, may just write papers.
Ranger; an archer, guards higher places, many Elves are Rangers. Patrol areas as well as protecting others.
Scout; goes out and searches for herbs, an explorer so to speak.
Woodsman; cuts wood and works in the woods.
Hunter; hunts animals and helps to provide for villages.
Trainer; trains students to be warriors, rangers, mages, etc.
Adventurer; roams the world and travels a lot.
