Personality:: One of Graham's major traits is his humility. He is respectful to others no matter how they act towards him and doesn't think highly of himself. He believes the world would be a better place without all the fighting, one of those peaceful types. Despite his beliefs, he is a rather skilled swordsman, capable of killing but does his best not to. He abhors killing, even drawing blood but unless it is completely necessary, he won't do it.
Graham is friendly and caring for the most part. He calls every stranger 'friend', even though their aren't. He is also generous, preferring to give up his luxuries for others like giving all his money to the poor even though it would leave him with nothing.
History:: Graham's birth was a bit on the weird side. It was a large ceremony upon which the mother gave her entire life force to have Graham. The reason behind was how he was conceived. His mother was human but his father was the physical manifestation of a Wind Spirit. Through the use of ancient rites, several mages used their power to amplify the Spirit's so it could pass into the physical realm.
During the mother's months of pregnancy, they were able to tell that the child would possess power like that of his father. The mages began devising plans to augment the child's power so the father would be even more proud and award them. This wasn't true but humans are so easy to corrupt, though done of their own volition.
Magical taboo experiments were done on the mother as well as the growing child. A few of the mages burned themselves out, their life force drained. Instead of the usual nine months of pregnancy, it took Graham a full twelve months, a year, to be born. This caused him to be brought into the world on the same day that he was conceived. On that day, a ceremony was held. The mother gave up her life so that Graham could be born. Most of the mages died too, as penance for causing the death of Graham's mother. She was able to live forever by the side of the Wind Spirit, the mages weren't so lucky.
A sole being was left alive, one that could take Graham under his wing and teach him the arts of magic and how to live and learn. The wizard was an old man, old enough to know his mistake and would regret it his whole life. That was what stayed the Spirit's judgement, plus someone had to live to take care of the boy.
The boy got his name from his mother, father and guardian. Graham was his grandfather's name on his mother's side. Ventus was part of the Wind Spirit's name and Argent was his guardian's last name. Graham Ventus Argent was the boy's one and only true name.
Growing up, live was moderately difficult. They had to move from place to place, doing jobs to pay for their shelter and food. All the while, Graham was receiving magical training, so he could better understand his gift and learn to defend himself if need be. The sense of being Pure of Heart was passed onto him from his mother and so was not corrupted by his power. If used wrongly, he could possible dominate the world or something close to it.
Life moved on, when Graham was sixteen, his guardian, Wizard Argent, passed away. Graham performed a sacred ritual that purified the man's soul so he went onto a better place instead of going to pay for his sins. He had no idea what he was doing but he wanted the one he called father to live on peacefully in the next life.
After that, Graham continued his training and worked to spread the peace upon which he thought should exist in the whole world. It was really hard, people didn't take to it well, especially the corrupt ones that wouldn't benefit as they are now. This earned him several public beatings just for defying the towns' law. Due to his upbringing and his pure heart, he persevered and continued elsewhere.
After being robbed for the first time in some forest, Graham took up sword training and physical fighting to better protect himself. He believed that magic shouldn't be used for harm if the other doesn't possess it, it wouldn't be fair. So with the training he received would allow him to fight back without crossing the line of what is and isn't fair.
As the years went on, his innate ability to use wind magic manifested and responded to his instincts. If someone aimed to strike him and he knew it was coming but could not avoid it, his power would activate and slow down the attack as it got within him personal space. Flows of wind would form and push against the attack so it would appear as if slowing down, allowing Graham to move in time to dodge. Even worse, he would intend to intimidate someone by pushing them, to show his strength and sometimes blasts of air would expel off his hands and send the person farther than anticipated. This freaked people out.
Following this unfortunate events, Graham went into hiding, to meditate and train himself further. If he had full control over his instincts, he could master his power to its fullest. It wasn't until his finished his meditation, which happened to be on his twenty first birthday, that he realized he possessed more power. Over the years, he noticed at certain intervals that he was becoming stronger and faster. It could be the result of his training but it had to be something more than that.
Going back to the place where he buried Brend Argent, he prayed and meditated as he always did every year. However, this time he was visited by the man's spirit. He knew why Graham was so uncertain with himself that he explained the events of his birth, the reasons behind it and what he was experiencing. Had he been someone else, he would have gone insane but he saw the truth for what it was. Biding his godfather goodbye, he went off to travel all the lands of the world so he could learn their customs and live a full life.
Is there anything else you wish to tell?
Place of Residence:: None: Wanderer
Weapon of Choice:: Scourging - Daisho style blades. Sunder - Chokuto, straight blade.
Special Abilities:: Heightened Physical Capabilities - Due to an ancient magical rite, Graham was given enhanced physical powers. It's mainly a strength thing, his muscles were altered to remain a normal size but they exert much stronger force. With stronger muscles, he is capable of moving faster too along with withstanding more blunt attacks before falling. Comparing to the average human, he is about three or four times stronger and faster.
Air Elemental Control - Graham was born with the innate ability to manipulate the air. On a small scale, he is capable of instinctively controlling the air around him to help avoiding attacks, form shields by increasing the density in the air and project blunt force through wind power. This is what's known as passive powers. Graham can use his power to activate relative abilities of a much larger scale but only one at a time.
- Flowing Gale - An activated ability that manipulates wind to swirl around his body at moderate velocities. This allows Graham to move and attack faster. Can be identified by two or three white energy ribbons forming and swirling around his torso.
[Duration: Three posts || Cooldown: Three posts] - Cyclone Armor - This activated ability controls the wind to cover the body like a second skin. It acts as defensive armor that deflects attacks by redirecting the direction their moving. Can be identified by a cape of white energy.
[Duration: Five hits || Cooldown: Two posts, after it disperses] - Wind Blade - This activated ability coats Graham's blade in raging winds. This drastically increases the weapon's cutting power as well as increasing its range. It can be used as an offensive as well as a defensive technique.
[Duration: Three posts || Cooldown: Three posts]
Family Members:: None: Orphan.

Tomas wasn't making good time. He had walked for about an hour and only gone about a mile. He had many more ahead of him. He was definitely regretting not renting a horse or something. All that celebrating last night must have rattled his brain. Not that he was experiencing a hangover, just something less.
Before long, a party of three had come across him. He had heard the horses before they approached closer. Hooves on the ground make a noise that cannot be mistaken for something else. Since it was still early in the morning, it was still only raining lightly, so the noise couldn't of been drown out. The young man stopped and turned to get a good look at them. Three mounted people, and one looked slightly grim. Had he not be forewarned by the horses approaching, this would of shaken his nerves a bit. Not that he was a man easily scared, just unexpected.
"Morning to you too sir--" It was polite to address another as 'sir', also a good idea in case the other was of Cruinthian military and off the upper ranks. "And I am heading to Sorath. It isn't my main goal but it's on the way." His tone was also friendly, best to give off a good impression, helps for when they meet in the future.
There was no need to tell him his true destination right out, unless he asked. He was indeed heading to Sorath, since one could get there through the Havenaild Plains. That would be his first stop. Probably rest, stock up on supplies and move on to Morith. Possibly buying a horse before leaving. Although, having a party would be wise since he'd need to traverse the Skaraptica Forest to reach Morith then south to Helkorth. Rumors have it that the Dark Forest was pretty dangerous. He isn't afraid of most things but coming across a Wendigo was not his idea of fun, unless he was stronger.
