Elena sighed inwardly. How did he not know where she was going? She figured it'd be obvious when they made it to the woods. Ignorant humans, anyways. It seemed wrong to give him any grief, so she decided she'd humor him for a bit. "Why I was going home, of course. Didn't you know we live in the forest? You may want to go home, though. There are a lot of scary monsters in these wood." Elena smiled inside, holding back a laugh. Her face remained serious, however, she was really trying to lead him on.
"Though if you're willing to trek deeper into this merciless forest, I'm sure you'll find yourself liking it. We Elves have quite the lovely establishment. It's large, handsome, and full of treasures." Emphasizing the correct words, she sounded like a merchant desperately trying to sell his wares. Elena Reyson was quite the actress.

Edward did a mental face palm. Of course she was going home. "Ah, yes. I... knew that." Ed chuckled and looked to the ground. After hearing her offer, he shrugged. "I don't exactly have a home anymore. I'm a traveler. Your village does sounds pleasant though. I'm not much into treasure, seeing as though I'm set with money... But if you have food, I'll gladly come with you."
Ed smiled. He hadn't been to the elf settlement before, and he was one to jump on any chance he got to go somewhere new. He wasn't ready to let a few monsters get in his way now. Besides, it was the perfect chance to see how well that blacksmith had sharpened his sword. There was nothing like a good test run.

Boy was this kid in for a lesson on mischevious Elves. Elena smiled. "Ah, alright. Though I'm afraid I will have to ask you your name first. I can't just go around traveling with anyone, you see." Elena began plotting where she was going to lead him. Perhaps over to Shifter territory? No, then he'd probably get killed. Hmm... She couldn't take him to the village, though.
He seemed gullible enough, she'd just take him in a wide circle and lure him into Hopskil. That sounded like a great plan. Being human and all, she was sure he would get along with the Minister like two peas in a pod. Hopefully the grin on her face hadn't given away any of her intentions.

Edward raised an eyebrow as a reaction to that smile she had on her face. It wasn't exactly a normal smile. Something about it screamed mischief. Ed shrugged the thought of it off. It was probably nothing, just his imagination again.
'My name Is Edward." he answered keeping his smile in place. He saw no reason to lie to her. What could she do? Become his stalker? Highly doubted. "And what's yours?" He thought that would be fair, considering.

Humans. They had no taste in a good name for their child. Though perhaps Edward was the only name that suited this particular boy. Humoring him, Elena offered her name. "My name's Elena. Though it's pronounced Alana, that's because of the roots of the word. It's spelled with e's." If he spelled her name in the near future, he had insane issues. Issues with insanity was probably the better way to state it.
"Well I suggest we get a move on. I hear feet coming our direction, and I'd best not be getting any where near Shifters. They aren't particularly fond of me, you see." Blinking slowly, she looked south. Perfect. It was midday, the sun was directly overhead, and the animals were all asleep. Perfect time for travel, along with the perfect time for deception.

Blinking in utter confusion, Ed decided it would be best if he just nodded and pretended he knew even in the slightest what she was trying to say. Something about an ‘a’ in her name that wasn’t there… Then something about an ‘e’…. He didn’t understand…. He shook the thought from his head and did his best to not think about it. It was giving him a headache. Ed looked around. He didn’t hear anything, but he supposed an elf would be better at that sort of thing anyway. ”You’re right… Which way do we go?” Ed remembered the last time he had met a shifter… It hadn’t gone over so well… All he had wanted was some food! Yet they just HAD to take it all out of proportion and try to kill. He didn’t see what he had done wrong… He hadn’t been THAT rude…

Just as she had hoped, he hadn't the faintest clue as to where they were. This was absolutely perfect. Every little piece of the puzzle was slowly coming together. Plans were efficient, if that variable was constant. Then again, if every variable were constant, life would be boring. Mathematics would be unimportant and invalid. Oh, how children wished that were true.
"Just follow me. Quickly, though, because I'm sure they can smell us. I have the perfect hiding place. It should work out to be perfect." The girl smiled and turned away from him, starting to jog to the east. She figured that this pace woulld make it easier for his short human legs to keep up with her.

Edward's eye randomly twitched and he sighed. every time that happened, he had been told, that someone was making a short joke behind his back. He hated them with a passion. '"Yea, yea... I'm coming." Edward ran on his... smaller sized legs to keep up with the girls quicker pace. "So... what kind of hiding place is this, exactly?" Ed yawned despite his quick pace. He didn't know why he was constantly tired, it just happened

That was a rather stupid question, wasn't it? "The kind you hide in? What other kind of hiding places are there?" Elena was genuinely concerned about this human's mental heath. He didn't make that much sense. Perhaps she'd have to be a bit more lenient with him. Maybe tricking him wouldn't be that good of an idea. He could be fragile. She didn't want him to freak out and kill her because of her simple tricks... Maybe it was worth it, though. She was faster than him, and she knew the area... Heheh... She'd have to think on the issue a little further.

Edward rolled his eyes at her answer. "Well, duh, obviously. I meant it as in, where is is it at, but just forget I ever asked." Ed shook his head. This elf was hopeless. He continued following behind her, wishing to get there already. He was tired, hungry, and just plain bored. Sure, the scenery was nice, but he had seen plenty others like it in his past. To him, this was just another forest. He had seen prettier.
"Can you at least tell me how long until we get there?" Ed linked his hands behind his head and yawned, getting more tired with every step he took.

Before long, the walls around Hopskil appeared. Wrinkling her nose, Elena took in a whiff of the human stench that surrounded the city. That was the main reason she hated the place, beside the fact that the leader tried to shove his religion down other people's throats. "We're here, lazy. You human have the worst stamina I've ever experienced." Though that sounded sexual, it most definitely was not. The girl started scaling the wall for the door.
"I hope you're not going to die of boredom or anything, there, kid. I don't want a dead human on my hands. I've already infiltrated your city. Rather ridiculous if you ask me, your idiot religion."

Edward almost fell over in relief when he saw the village. "Oh thank God! We've finally arrived! And for your information, I do not have bad stamina! On the contrary, I have quite good stamina! It just so happens I've been walking a long time and I haven't been able to rest properly!" Ed sighed and walked towards the village. The faster he could rest for the night, the better he'd feel.

Elena fought back a laugh. She was such a snot. She followed him quickly, sure to keep an eye on the surroundings. She was still in awe at that idea that he was so... gullible. Soon he'd find that this wasn't an elf village, it was a place where people took religion and tried to shove it down your throat. Though he'd probably enjoy suck rotten things being shoved down his throat. At the moment she was being curiously quiet, waiting to see his reaction to the spotless streets and the polished houses. She hadn't been here in a while, though, so she was in for a surprise as well.

Walking a little faster with each step he took, Ed practically ran in to the village. As soon as he was past the first house, he ran into a line of people. "A-ah... hi?" Ed gave the people a smile and backed off slowly. He turned his head towards Elena and whispered, "Who are these people? And what, exactly, do they want?" Edward didn't mind meeting new people, but this was just a tad bit creepy, even for him. People didn't just start ganging up on newcomers like that... At least they didn't at the places he'd visited...

In response to his question, the elf shrugged. She didn't think they wanted anything. He was apparently just paranoid. Overly paranoid, for that matter. "I can honestly say that I don't think they want anything from you. I believe they are just admiring your small stature. That's all." Elena smiled passively and looked from person to person. It sure was bustling with excitement. Everyone was wearing odd clothes and carrying strange bags... Huh, this society was truly much more different than that of the elves. It had modernized more, as well, apparently.
